Educational outreach included creating open-source guides with easy-to-use lab-quality methods utilizing common materials such as the mineral zeolite, compost, and mulch. Activities included promoting meetups and educational workshop events, and developing free resources for communities to stay informed on important progress and issues.

As part of the small internal comms team, I was tasked with strategizing and designing community engagement and outreach materials including social media posts, videos, photography, newsletters, workshops, event flyers, and free multilingual gardening guides and toolkits.

This project uses the power of art, science, and community to address the lead contamination caused by an industrial battery plant affecting East LA neighborhoods, collaborating with our community scientist cohort to apply low-cost nature-based solutions to remediate soil health with the mineral zeolite, compost, mulch, and other materials and processes
